ASTECH Solutions was established in 1992 by a group of former IBM and Cognos employees. Its original purpose was to service the needs of the Independent Software Vendor community wishing to exploit and migrate to IBM’s platforms. Within 2 years, ASTECH had over 40 ISVs as customers. At the same time, ASTECH also serviced the needs of the Small and Medium Business (SMB) customer community, which wanted independent and objective consulting support to help them tackle their most complex Information Technology business issues.
Since 1992, the overarching mission of ASTECH Solutions is to help enable customers and partners apply advanced technologies for business benefit. In over 15 years, ASTECH has established leadership and vision in the Application Development, Systems Architecture, Infrastructure design through training and consulting. ASTECH has provided advanced IT sales and technical training to over 20,000 students in 40 countries worldwide. In addition, we have consulted for 100s of Mid sized enterprises, helping them exploit new technologies for business success.
ASTECH’s innovations include an unprecedented level of cooperation with IBM and the International Technical Support Organization (having participated in over 20 “Redbooks”), IBM’s Shark Camp Partner Education and IBM Top Gun Field Education programs. ASTECH’s skills run broad and deep across IBM systems and software products and are coupled with detailed architectural and cross platform skills. To our customer, this results in extreme focus, responsiveness and far lower costs structures than dealing with global IT Service companies. |
