Your Questions Answered

What is happening?

Repairify, the parent of asTech and BlueDriver brands, and Opus IVS have finalized a transaction to combine respective diagnostics businesses. The transaction has cleared the regulatory approval process.

Will there be any changes to existing products/services or announcements of new capabilities?

There are no immediate changes to products, services, or systems customers use today. Customers can expect continuity, with increased collaboration and innovation over time. Your day-to-day contact and support should not change as a result of this announcement.

What’s the main benefit for shops?

Access to stronger diagnostic coverage, more support options, and expanded mechanical capabilities – helping shops complete more complex repairs with greater confidence and efficiency. Our combined teams will use a customer-first approach to identifying and solving problems that are most important to you and your shops.

How will Opus IVS and asTech approach insurer relationships in the future?

Our approach will remain unchanged. Opus IVS and asTech are here to serve the professional repairer. We will work with insurers to help educate them on critical diagnostic work that needs to be performed for safe repair, but we won’t negotiate on pricing of calibrations or diagnostic services. We will refer them to our customers to negotiate directly.

Who will head the combined business?

Brian Herron, formerly the CEO of Opus IVS, will now serve as CEO of the diagnostics business comprised of asTech, Opus IVS, and BlueDriver. Srisu Subrahmanyam will continue to serve as CEO of Repairify, Inc. The business units, Repair360, Mobile Tech RX and One Guard Inspections will continue to report to him. There are no other personnel changes to announce at this time.
